  4. Induction Cycle - Contracted • First 2-3 years of employment • Professional Development • 1st year – 4 coaching conversations with supervisor and 2 observations • Induction supports include supervisor, coach, discipline and team members • Performance Review • Standards and Criteria

  5. Development Cycle - Contracted • Professional Development • Annual Review • Professional Development Plan • Performance Review (3 yr cycle) • Two conferences, on-site visit • Evidence of Standards • New or revised Prof Dev Plan

  6. Support for LEA and AEA goals Knowledge of discipline, content and profession Planning and organization Aligning services with multiple needs Data collection and monitoring Interpersonal skills Ongoing professional growth Professional conduct Standards - Contracted

  7. Orientation Cycle - Classified • 1st and 2nd year of employment • Ensures Core Competencies and Performance Elements are understood • 1st year – 2 coaching conversations with supervisor and 2 observations (approx 1 each semester) • Orientation supports include supervisor, peer guide and team members

  8. Continuous Growth - Classified • Supports ongoing learning • Promotes quality and accountability • Annual review of core competencies • 1 to 3 annual learning goals

  9. Core Competencies - Classified • Customer Service • Planning & Organization • Quality of Work • Communication & Teamwork • Technical Skills • Initiative & Innovation • Professional Growth & Learning

  12. Evaluation Documents-Classified • Performance Evaluation Form to be completed annually • Form includes supervisor and employee assessment of: • Each core competency • Progress on learning goals

  14. Access to Evaluation Documents • Employee is notified within 20 days when HR receives evaluation documents • Within 20 days of notice, employee may submit a written response • Contact HR to review contents of personnel file
