Current Policy Statement Admission to Grand Rapids Community College is open to all high school graduates, or those who have satisfactorily completed the General Education Development (GED) test or individuals 18 years or older. Grand Rapids Community College requires degree-seeking students to submit high school transcripts with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and an American College Test (ACT) score of 18 or higher in the subject areas of math, reading, and English.

  4. Committee Review Process • Edited current policy. • Discussed effectiveness of current policy since it was updated in 2008. • Benchmarked twelve other community colleges. • Reviewed feedback

  5. Feedback /Questions • Is there a time frame for how long the ACT is valid? • Are potential students required to have a diploma or GED to be admitted? • Do we have to wait another five years before we can make changes to the cut score?

  6. Recommendations • Keep the existing policy unchanged.
