  2. Our country is the United States of America. All of these states are united into one country.

  3. Virginia is the name of our state.

  4. North Carolina is south of Virginia.

  5. Tennessee touches Virginia’s southwestern border.

  6. Kentucky touches Virginia’s western border.

  7. West Virginia touches part of Virginia’s northern border.

  8. Maryland also touches Virginia’s northern border. All of these states are Virginia’s neighbors.

  9. Washington D. C. is the capital of our country. Washington D.C.

  10. We are ALL Americans!

  13. Appalachian Mountains There are many mountains in America. The mountains closest to Virginia are the Appalachian Mountains. Appalachian Mountains
