  3. TRANSCRIPTS • OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS COST $1.00 PAID TO BOOKEEPER & CAN BE PICKED UP AT REGISTRAR. • REVIEW YOUR TRANSCRIPT CAREFULLY. • STUDENTS MUST HAVE 26 CREDITS AND THE CORRECT CLASSES TO GRADUATE.

APPLYING TO COLLEGESeniors should have this completed through the LEE Campus Connect Liaison here on campus • COMMONAPP.ORG - APPLY TO PRIVATE /PUBLIC COLLEGES THROUGH-OUT THE U.S. • APPLYTEXAS.ORG • APPLY TO YOUR TEXAS PUBLIC COLLEGES WITH ONE APPLICATION. CREATE AN AMAZING APPLICATION AND THEN COPY/PASTE IT FOR ALL OF THE COLLEGES. ** REMEMBER TO CHECK THE COLLEGES OF YOUR CHOICE TO SEE IF THEY HAVE THE PROGRAMS YOU DESIRE TO STUDY.

  8. SAT & ACT • IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT STUDENTS TAKE BOTH EXAMS. • IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT STUDENTS TAKE THE EXAMS MORE THAN ONCE. • SOME COLLEGES PICK OUT THE BEST SCORES AND PAIR THEM TOGETHER. ASK THE COLLEGE. • JR COLLEGES DO NOT REQUIRE THESE EXAMS BUT MOST SCHOLARSHIPS DO. • REGISTER ON LINE FOR THE EXAMS @ collegeboard.com and actstudent.org

SAT TESTPREP BOOTCAMP • Lee High School is hosting a special PSAT/SAT Test Prep Boot Camp in the auditorium, on Wednesday, October 2nd from 8:30am to 3:00pm. • This is an intensive 6-hour PSAT/SAT workshop designed to give your son or daughter effective test taking and time management strategies, to help boost their performance. The normal cost of this Boot Camp is $250.00. However, Lee High School is so committed to improving test scores that this workshop will be held during the school day for added convenience, and will be available to students for only $45!Materials include 2 books for each participant, including 26 practice tests with detailed answers and explanations, along with a strategy book to further complement your child’s learning.

DENGAR ST. CALL FOR AN APPT @ 682-4732 _ SET UP AN ACCOUNT WITH www.fastweb.com to find scholarships • STUDENT AID • BEGIN TO FILL OUT THE FAFSA FORMS IN JANUARY - FAFSA IS ALSO CALLED STUDENT AID AND IS FOR LOANS, GRANTS, AND SCHOLARSHIPS. • BEWARE OF COMPANIES WHO CHARGE TO FIND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR YOU.

  14. MIDLAND LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP • PAYS TUITION @ MIDLAND COLLEGE FOR EACH YEAR THAT COMMUNITY SERVICE IS COMPLETED • MUST HAVE A 2.75 (ON A 4.0 SCALE) ON THE FINAL SENIOR TRANSCRIPT • MUST HAVE 40 HOURS OF APPROVED COMMUNITY SERVICE. • TURN IN HOURS AND APPLICATION TO M.C. STARTING JANUARY 2014

TEXAS SCHOLARS • THIS IS A RECOGNITION PROGRAM…..THERE IS NO SCHOLARSHIP INVOLVED. • MUST HAVE A 2.75 GPA ON A 6 pt SCALE • MUST HAVE 20 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE • HOURS ARE DUE TO THE COUNSELING SECRETARY END OF THE 4TH 6 WKS. • TEXAS SCHOLARS MUST PURCHASE WHITE CORDS FOR GRADUATION • BANQUET HELD IN APRIL FOR SENIORS WHO HAVE MET ALL REQUIREMENTS.
