Let’s bring the book alive and visit the places we have discovered. I am excited to be able to visit Italy and accompany the students and watch them delight at the places we visit. Venice – the center of commerce after the silting of Bruges Florence – The heart of the Medici’s empire! Visit the Statue of David , Il Duomo and see Botticelli’s Birth of Venus. Assisi - Basilica of St. Francis Rome – Colosseum, Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel to view Michelangelo’s work firsthand.
