  3. Class Rules Conduct is the key to success! Make sure to comply with all classroom expectations.

  4. BE ON TIME Come to class on time and in an orderly fashion. Tardiness will result in teacher detention and, if needed, after school central detention.

  5. BE PREPARED Come to class ready to work. Bring all materials (homework, pen/pencil, paper, notebook, etc.) to class.

  6. BE POLITE Show respect for your peers, school staff, and most importantly yourself. Request permission to leave the room, borrow materials from me or to get out of your seat. Raise your hand to speak. Do no talk or shout when someone else is talking. Keep your hands to yourself.

  7. LAB Rules Safety is always the first priority. Follow all laboratory procedures to avoid injurious outcomes. Absolutely NO eating or drinking during lab!

  8. Class Procedures • You will have lab experiments weekly. Labs will be conducted in groups of 2, however, each student must submit their own lab sheets (unless told otherwise by teacher). • Homework may be given on a daily basis.

  9. TESTS AND QUIZZES • Test and Quizzes will be given for each chapter. You are responsible to make up any test/quiz that you miss. If tests/quizzes are not made up, it will be a 0.

  10. NOTES • Notes will be given in class. You will be held accountable for your notes. There will be a notebook check at the end of every Chapter. This will be counted as a quiz grade.

  11. Marking Period Projects may be assigned. • MID-TERM and FINAL EXAM

  12. ABSENCES If you are absent, you are responsible for the missed work. Ask me for notes, classwork/homework or visit my webpage on the district website. (http://wohs.woboe.org/SupportServices/PPatel/default.aspx)

  13. Grading Policy Grades will be based on the following criteria: Homework  25% Classwork/LAB  25% Tests  25% Quizzes  25%

  21. People Search Directions: Sign your name in the center box. Walk around the room and get acquainted with your classmates by getting signatures on your sheet from people who know the information in the boxes. You can get one signature from me. Whoever has the most signatures (including yours) within a 10 min time span will get a treat. Have fun!
