  1. Subcultures through MusicActivity • Partner or Group of 3 • Identify a song that represents a specific subculture • List the name of your subculture and the name of the song and artist. (You may have to create your own subculture name)

Assignment • Find evidence of how the song represents that group • Tone, mood, beat, volume, lyrics, specific words and phrases, music video attire • List your evidence and be able to support your claims verbally to the class • All evidence must be school appropriate, songs MAY be played to the class • You may use cell phones to find evidence by playing song at an appropriate level with your group or to look up lyrics • 15-18 minutes to compile your evidence, 45 sec-1 min presentations. Quickly tell us your subculture, song, and strongest evidence

  3. Activity grading • Appropriate song choice- 10 pts • Appropriate subculture- 10 pts • Evidences- minimum 5 listed, 3 verbally communicated 80 pts
