  4. Paul’s heart for Missions “ . . . God visited the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written, “After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tabernacle of David that has fallen; I will rebuild it’s ruins, and I will restore it, that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things known from of old.” Acts 15:14-18

  10. A True biblical Missions program must include outreach to Unreached people groups.

  11. Fulfilling the Great Commission does not mean reaching more and more people, but reaching more and more peoples!

  14. Giving to those in need is a function of the body of Christ 2 Cor. 8:1-4 Three principles here in Biblical giving: Give! All believers need to give. Give sacrificially. Give without compulsion, freely voluntarily.

  15. Giving to those in need is a function of the body of Christ God loves a cheerful giver - 2 Cor. 9:7 It is more blessed to give than to receive - Acts 20:35

  17. Missions is fueled by prayer If God is Sovereign, knows everything, is more powerful than Satan, then why do we need to pray? The effectual prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much. Jam.5:16

  19. Missions is fueled by prayer Paul asks for prayer, (v.30-32) he has 3 requests: • For his physical protection • For effective ministry to believers in Jerusalem and that they would accept the financial gifts • To be able to visit them and enjoy their company

  20. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith ” Paul 2 Tim. 4:7
