    • Main challenges: federal system  relevant expenditure in many different budgets; estimation of non-labelled expenditures

  • National register of treatment facilities (ongoing):

    • Complete coverage of all treatment facilities for valid estimation of client response rate

    • Involvement of all treatment organisations and services

    • Till end of 2009: up-to-date, accurate and complete register of all treatment facilities in Germany

  • PharMon (ongoing):

    • Monitoring system for pharmaceutical misuse of problem alcohol and drug users

    • Gathered information is integrated in national and European early warning systems

  • Twinning and other technical cooperations

    • Among others: Turkey, Central Asia
