  2. Martin Luther King’s Life! What was life like when Martin was a kid? Well , Martin was born January 15 , 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. Martin was not able to go to many places back then because he was a black . There were many white only signs. When he was six his two friends would not play with him because he was black and they were white. Martin did not like blacks being treated like this. As a child Martin was a very bright student .Martin went to high school at age 15. Then he went to Morehouse college. When he finished college he went to Boston University and finished in 1954 .There he met Coretta Scott. Then on June 18 , 1953 they got married and Coretta Scott now became Coretta King. Sadly Dr. king got shot and died.

  3. Why Do We Remember Martin? Why do we remember Dr. King? We remember Dr. King because he helped us with the civil rights movement. After Rosa Parks got arrested for not giving up her seat to a white person ,King was furious. So he lead a bus boycott. But he lead a very peaceful protest. Dr. King believed that love is the only way to state what he wanted and it worked. He made a freedom march. Although many people were killed during this march. Dr. king did not give up. 1957 Dr. King made the S.C.L.C. this stands for the Southern Christian Leadership. He and the S.C.L.C. held many sit-ins. His house got bombed, he got arrested and he still did not use violence. Then on May 2, 1963 over 2,000 black children marched for freedom. In August,1963 Dr. King made his ‘’I have a dream‘’ speech. And that is why we remember Dr. King.

For starters, his birthday is a national holiday. His shoe size was an adult size 8. Dr. King also died on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel, a civil rights museum since 1991. Overall, Dr. King has some cool back up facts.
