  2. Things to Remember Payments • A payment from the customer can come in many different forms- • Speedpay Debit • Speedpay Credit • Speedpay ACH • Moneygram • Western Union • Mailed Payment/ Online Bill Pay

  3. Things to Remember Promises to Pay • A promise to pay is a documented commitment from the customer on how the payment will be made. In most cases, this will be done when specific information about the payment has been received from the customer • Remember WAM- when, amount, and method • Obtain account information when doing a Speedpay- routing and account number or card number. • *Note-Anytime that you set up a Speedpay with the customer, you need to disposition MYSUP as PTP not Payment Confirmed.

  4. Scenario 1 Mrs. Smith sets up a Speedpay payment using her debit card with you today. Question 1: Can you set up a promise for this payment? Question 2: What day would you set up the Promise to Pay?

  5. Scenario 2 Bob Barker will be making his payment via Speedpay (ACH) this Friday. Question 1: Can you set up a promise for this payment? Question 2: What day would you set up the Promise to Pay?

  6. Scenario 3 Betty Crocker made a payment through the IVR (phone assisted payment system) earlier today. The payment is pending but hasn’t posted to the account yet. Question 1: Can you set up a promise for this payment? Question 2: What day would you set up the Promise to Pay?

  7. Scenario 4 Clark Kent gets paid this Friday. He wants to make his payment with you on Saturday. All he has is his debit card and you have no account information on file with him.
