Does QuickBooks save automatically? • QuickBooks Supportcreates a backup file each time you close the file. • You set the frequency of how often QuickBooks creates the backup. • QuickBooks stores this backup file on your hard drive under the QuickBooks directory in a folder named "Auto Backup".

  3. Where are the QuickBooks data files stored? • The default location for a QuickBooks Desktop company files is: C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks\Company Files. • From this location, you should choose the version or year of the application your file is using.

  4. How do I repair a corrupted company file in QuickBooks? • Make a local copy of the data file form the server. • Enable temporary hosting on the machine where it is copied and open the file and log-in as administrator. • Click on File-> Utilities -> Rebuild Data.
