  6. Logging into Logging into SAP : SAP : A client has a first established connection with the server and authenticate itself access the server recourses. This is that SAP LOGON process. If you install SAP GUI machine into your system, you will find SAP LOGON icon into your desktop. Double click on SAP LOGON icon to open SAP LOGON screen.   7. If your server has not been configured, you can click the new item button on the log on screen. The required parameters are – Description : It is the descriptive name of the server. In our case, we have defined it has SAP FICO black book.  Application server : Refers to the technical name of the server on which sap is installed.  System Number : Refers to a two digit number specifying the two digit number. In large installations where multiple system are hosted on single server, this setting is very important.   9. SAP Logon: Now click the LOGON Button on SAP LOGON screen then username and password authentication screen displays. If SAP LOGON Screen is opened that means your server is on and running, the client setting is required for connecting the server. The client is able to connect to the server. There is no network issue. You need to follow the parameters  Client : It refers to three digit numeric code specifying which clients you wish to LOGON. This is default value.  User : Refers to username provided to you by your basis administrator.  Password : Refers to password provided to you by your administrator. Password are case sensitive in ECC6.0 .  Language : You can specify EN for English or leave it blank for the default language.
