New returns processing enhancements • Visibility to prior returns • Shows previous returns activity, by invoice • Shows quantity already returned, and quantity still available to return • Alerts you if you try to return more than that quantity • Help you avoid handling and other charges and catch any issues prior to submission of the return • Ability to print return authorization (RA) in the pharmacy • Online acknowledgment of returns • Ability to print most standard RA forms online, right away, rather than waitfor hard copy from DC

Returns processing improvements — visibility to prior returns • New fields on invoice lookup when creating returns to show previously returned quantities • Quantity previously returned (online, via Telxon, or otherwise) • Quantity still available for return • Provides visibility to those prior returns to prevent the selection of invoices that have already been used for a return

Returns processing improvements — warnings to help catch errors • If you submit a return using an invoice where there is not sufficient quantity tocover the return, you will receive a warning message providing you theopportunity to return to make corrections • This warning will help you catch cases where you may have already returned against an invoice — saving you unnecessary handling charges

  6. Returns processing improvements — printing RAs right in the pharmacy • New capability enables printing right in the pharmacy, online, rather thanwaiting for hard copy (Note: special handling returns must be printed in the DC) • Returns will display as “acknowledged” once RA is ready (similar to order submission process) • Expect most acknowledgment within 15–30 minutes • Once acknowledged, check the box next to the return andthen click “View/Print PDF” to access the return’s RA(s) • Saves time and makes returns processing more efficient

Returns processing improvements — printing RAs right in the pharmacy • Once you click to print, a screen will appear listing the RA documents(you could have more than one for an original return request submission) • You will see notations here of the RA number, the create and expiration datefor the RA, and an indicator if one or more of the RAs requires special handling(which means they will be printed at the DC per the standard process) • Select one or more RAs and click Print to view and print the PDF versionof the return authorization 

Sample RA • You will get a standard browser request to Open or Save (just choose Open) • The return authorization documents will print just like the hard copy versions you receive from the distribution center today (some special handling RAs can be viewed, but not printed, from the PDF window) • No more waiting on the document to arrive — just drop this printout in with your return (non-special handling) and you are ready to go

  9. How do I sign up? • Only customers that have migrated to the new McKesson Connect portal will see invitations to sign up for the new process (expected to begin early August 2009) • Watch for a home page message specific to signing up for the RA capability once you have been moved to the new release (see sample below) • Once you click the link, there will be an online form to fill out and then within two to three days, you should begin seeing the print capability online and you can start printing your own RA documents
