  2. INTRODUCTION: ecommerce sector brings enormous opportunities to the business sector as it makes 24/7 business possible. It makes the economic activities more dynamic. It is a fast growing sector; the annual turnover from this sector was Taka 1,000 crore in 2016. More than 50,000 people are currently employed in e-commerce services in Bangladesh. ecommerce industries are boosting the country's economic growth.

  3. Who are showing interest in this sector? Young and educated men and women who aspire to have a business-oriented career are quite interested in ecommerce. Since the young generation is tech-savvy, they are more enthusiastic about this sector.

  4. TYPE OF ECOMMERCE IN BANGLADESH: Currently, three types of ecommerce are popular in Bangladesh. They are- • Business-to-Business (B-2-B) • Business-to-Consumer (B-2-C) • Consumer-to-Consumer (C-2-C)

  5. WHICH PRODUCTS ARE SOLD THE MOST VIA E-COMMERCE BUSINESS? Fashion, gadget, electronic and fitness products are currently dominating the market, but it is gradually expanding and other products are being traded online too.

IMPROVEMENTS THAT ARE NEEDED: Have to Develop delivery channel to the customers Affordable , un-interrupted and high speed internet all over the country Improving the online transaction system Stop Online fraudulence Currently, trade license is not issued specifically for e-commerce businesses, which makes running such businesses difficult.

  8. CONCLUSION: As a whole, ecommerce has a bright future in Bangladesh. But we need patience and understanding of the best practices. Bangladesh is very new in this sector, so this gives us the opportunity to watch and learn from successful companies. To make ecommerce a viable industry we need to eradicate all the obstacles.
