  3. Interesting Facts • Eugene area residents raised $27, 500 (equivalent to $500,000 now) in strawberry festivals, church socials, and produce sales in order to buy 17 acres of land to build the University’s first building • http://www.uoregon.edu/our-history

  4. Admission Requirements • Graduate from a standard or accredited high school • Earn a C- or better in 15 college preparatory courses. • English- 4 years. All should be in preparatory composition and literature with emphasis on and frequent practice in writing expository prose.

  5. Requirements (2) • Mathematics-3 years. Must include first-year algebra and two additional years of college-preparatory mathematics, including Algebra II (or equivalent) or higher. An advanced mathematics course is highly recommended in your senior year. Algebra and geometry taken prior to ninth grade are acceptable.

  6. Requirements (3) • Science-3 years. Must include a year each in two fields of college-preparatory science such as biology, chemistry, physics, or earth and physical science. One year of laboratory science is recommended. • Second language- 2 years. • Earn a high school GPA of 3.00 to 4.00.
