  3. First Australians • The first people in Australia were the aboriginals. • They arrived here around 50,000 years ago. • Some aboriginal rock art is 40,000 years old. • Most Aboriginal history was passed down from the elders. • All the aboriginals slept on the ground.

  4. Aboriginal Culture My picture is about a man that has water and is trying to find a camp site to sit at.

  5. The Origin Of Water • Prediction. I think some aboriginals found some spirits and they put it in a hole and it made water. • Summarise Once there was a group of animals that had no water. So all they could get was water from the kangaroo grass. Then a animal called bangarra (the blue tongue lizard) was drying himself. The other animals said “you are hiding the water aren’t you”. So the animals called a meeting. They decided that they are going to follow him. The first time was gudjilla (the bandicoot) but bangarra could see him at the corner of his eye. So they called a other meeting and said to let jiggirrjiggirr ( the willy wag tail) go. But bangarra could see his black and white tail moving. They didn’t know what to do so gula (the rat) said “I will do it I will” but all of the other animals laughed at him. Then they let him do it. When gudjilla looked to the left gula would jump to the right and when gudjilla looked to the right gula would jump to the left. When gudjilla opened a rock gula scared him and the spring water came out and everyone said sorry to gula and the kingfisher made the holes for the water.

  6. The Origin Of Water • Feelings: All the animals were excited that they had water again and gulabecause he got the water off bangarra. • Questions: What is kangaroo grass? • Moral: Little animals can make a big different. • Visualise:
