  3. What is Virtual Training? VirtualTraining allows you to experience an entire world of riding right in your living room on your own time. By integrating GPS and Google Earth™ technology, VirtualTraining synchronizes route mapping and videos with actual outdoor terrain. The software provides realistic pacing on routes, and with compatible controlled resistance products, adjusts the slope resistance to reflect actual changes in terrain. VirtualTraining also allows you to create and upload your own routes so you’ll be able to share courses with other cyclists from around the world. Available at virtualtraining.cycleops.com

How to Connect • Speed Based • With either an ANT+ or Bluetooth speed/cadence sensor and a CycleOps trainer, virtual speed is calculated from the speed sensor according to current parameters from the virtual route and specified trainer • Power Based • Training speed is calculated based on power from your power meter according to current parameters from the virtual route • Controlled Resistance • If you want to feel every rise in the road, pair with a PowerBeam Pro or i420 indoor cycle to control the resistance. Software automatically manages the trainer resistance according to the current slope of the virtual route, the user’s physical parameters and other data.

Free Ride • Perform manual workouts using your speed/cadence sensor, powermeter or controlled resistance unit • Non-subscribers can use free ride for 1 hour workouts, subscribers have no time limitations • Easily control the i400 and Powerbeam resistance with touch screen keys • Upload your workout to VirtualTraining and any of the social mapping sites

Profile Training • Thousands of free virtual routes to download and ride indoors. • Real ride simulation, Google Earth syncing with video, and accurate split times transform your indoor training into outdoor riding. You can use routes in Real Life Video format or any virtual route in VirtualTraining • Select  a friend’s best time on a virtual route and compete against it for more motivation

  12. Course CreationBrowse, create and share • In editor,  create your own route from your surroundings or from your favorite race. Attach the synchronized video, include interesting places for others to enjoy, add photos, or create checkpoints. Upload your route on VirtualTraining and share it with other users for free! • Manually create routes using Google Earth™ • You can even add audio and movie videos to you rides • Route editing only available on Desktop version

Online Racing • Race against friends from around the world • Set up your own race with specific route and time, invite others or let anybody join the competition • Watch how far in front or behind the competition is during the race • Feel every rise in the road with the Powerbeam or i420 indoor cycle • Join the VirtualTraining Cup competition
