  1. THE WATER CYCLE • ByBRIDGETTEMCANDrews1/31/12 Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation, Run-off

  2. EVAPORATION • Energy from the sun helps clouds form. The sun’s energy causes large bodies of water such as ocean's ,lakes streams and puddles to evaporate.

  3. condensation When warm moist air touches colder air, the water vapor condenses. Water vapor condenses low to the ground or high in the sky. While the water vapor condenses it forms a cloud

  4. Precipitation • When water drops fall from the clouds its raining!!!! The water drops don’t begin as water drops, they form in clouds in ice crystals. But on a warm day the ice crystals fall as rain and at freezing temperatures they fall as snow or hail.

  5. Run-off • WHEN SNOW OR RAIN REACHESTHE GROUND IT SOAKS INTO THE SOIL. WHAT DOES NOT SOAK IN FLOWS DOWN MOUNTAINS AND HILLS AND INTO RIVERS CREEKS AND OCEANS.
