Building Star Program • Chillers • Variable Speed Drives for Motors • Servicing of heating/cooling equipment • Non-HVACR prescriptive measures include: • Building envelope upgrades • Lighting • Controls • HVACR prescriptive measures include: • Water Heaters • Boilers • Furnaces • AC and Heat Pumps

  4. Building Star: Chiller Rebate • Rebate of $150/ton of cooling capacity of chiller being replaced, provided that: • New chiller meets ASHRAE 90.1-2010 efficiency levels • Chiller being replaced uses CFC refrigerant installed before Jan 1, 1993 • Building owner performs a building energy audit • Additional incentive available of $100/ton for each ton downsized, if all distribution pumps upgraded to include VFDs.

  5. Building Star: Boiler Rebate • Rebate provided for boilers between 300,000 and 5,000,000 BTU/h which: • For gas, 90+ TE, $ 10 per 1,000 BTU/h • For oil, 85+ TE, $3 per 1,000 BTU/h

  6. Building Star: Furnace Rebate • Rebate provided for natural gas furnace that meets or exceeds 90 TE. • No minimum or maximum BTU/h capacity • Rebate amount: $5 per 1,000 BTU/h

  7. Building Star: AC and HP Rebate • Rebate provided for 3 phase unitary AC or HP which: • For products meeting CEE Tier I levels = $100/ton • For products meeting CEE Tier II levels = $200/ton • CEE Tiers are those that exist as of Jan. 1, 2010.
