  12. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a humanitarian leader, spiritual teacher and an ambassador of peace. His vision of a stress-free, violence-free society has united millions of people the world over through service projects and the courses of The Art of Living. • Born in 1956 in Southern India, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was a gifted child. By the age of four, he was able to recite parts of the Bhagavad Gita, an ancient Sanskrit scripture and was often found in meditation. His first teacher Sudhakar Chaturvedi, had a long cooperation with Mahatma Gandhi. By the age of seventeen in 1973, he had graduated with degrees in both Vedic literature and physics. • Founding The Art of Living and The International Association of Human Values Sri Sri entered a ten-day period of silence in Shimoga located in the Indian state of Karnataka. The Sudarshan Kriya, a powerful breathing technique, was born. With time, the Sudarshan Kriya became the centerpiece of the Art of Living courses. Sri Sri founded The Art of Living as an international, non-profit, educational and humanitarian organization. Its educational and self-development programs offer powerful tools to eliminate stress and foster a sense of well-being. Appealing not only to a specific population, these practices have proven effective globally and at all levels of society. In 1997, he co-founded the International Association for Human Values (IAHV) to coordinate sustainable development projects, nurture human values and coordinate conflict resolution in association with The Art of Living. In India, Africa and South America, the two sister organizations’ volunteers are spearheading sustainable growth in rural communities, and have already reached out to over 36,000 villages.

  13. Dr Richa Chopra is a DSN, TTC Teacher, an absolute live-wire mentor who guides Sadhaks like us to reach our inner self . All her courses have the transforming Divine Brilliance & Knowledge. • A singer (Maahi and Meher albums) • She is also the Director, Projects Management Unit - The Art of Living , Bangalore. • She has also won several awards and has worked collaboratively with various organizations including the United Nations • She is writer of the Art of Living's First Ever Projects Booklet, "Building Alliances Accelerating Transformation: An Over view of Collaborative and Self Sustained Interventions in the Social Development Sector-2001-2011"

Rishi Nityapragyaji is the Director of International Programs for the largest NGO in the world, The Art Of Living Foundation, which teaches breathwork, meditation and knowledge to over 25 million people in 140 countries • Rishi Nityapragyaji used to race motorcycles and sing in musical bands until he discovered yoga and meditation at the age of 21 • His quest for unravelling the mystery of life took him to various spiritual teachers at a very young age. The search continued until he met His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, (founder of the Art of Living Foundation and International Humanitarian). • At their first meeting he knew he had come home as he had an experience of completeness and supreme consciousness. At his first meeting with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, he realized he shared Sri Sri's vision of putting a smile on everyone's face • One of his many talents is the transformation of consciousness through music. Through his devotional singing and meditative chants, thousands of people have experienced a lasting shift of consciousness • Rishiji has taught, sung, and given public talks on his travels throughout the world including Russia, Siberia, Europe, South Africa and Asia. Last year he did over 150 presentations to an average audience of about 6000.

  15. Khurshed Batliwala is a teacher of the Art of Living Foundation. Following a Graduation Degree from the very reputed Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, India. • Khurshed found his calling with the The Art of Living Foundation, a grass-roots level NGO based in Bangalore, India, with a presence in more than 140 countries. • Khurshed is one of the two Executive Directors of the World Alliance for Youth Empowerment (WAYE) and has co-founded the premier global youth initiative the Youth Empowerment and Skills Workshop-YES!+. • YES!+ is a youth initiative which aims at empowering youth between the ages of 18 and 35. The program, which caters to mainly young urban professionals and students, has been taught all across the world and has seen widespread recognition. • Khurshed has also designed numerous innovative projects to consistently involve youth in social causes in various cities across India, Australia and Europe to support the education of the children in the far flung tribal belt areas and for the aboriginals. • Fondly called Bawa, he is known for his practical wisdom, warmth and keen sense of humour. An amateur pianist Khurshed has won many competitions in music and dramatics.
