What is NSBE? • NSBE with over 30,000 members, is one of the largest student-governed organizations in the country. • Academic and professional success of African-American engineering students and professionals. •  NSBE is comprised of 242 collegiate, 70 professional and 82 pre-college active chapters. • Ultimate Goal of NSBE • To graduate minorities in STEM fields • NSBE is not racially limited nor bounded by particular majors, we accept all races and majors

  7. Becoming a Member • Chapter Level • Dues $15 • Credit and Debit cards have a swipe fee • Dues are payable to the Treasurer • Must participate in 50% of total NSBE activities • National Level • Sign up on ImPak • Dues $18

Achievement System • To go to attend Conventions, you need to obtain at least 75% of the total points available in the fall semester and be a PAID National and Chapter Member • General meetings (4pts per meeting) • Community service (8pts) • Study-A-Thon (2pts) • Attending Texas Tech Engineering job fair (4pts/tentative) • Being active in a committee (8-10pts)
