We have also had numerous past students represent Australia in Softball.(l-r Kayne, Tayla and Grant)

  8. Meet Tayla ... • Tayla is in Year 10 and her preferred position is shortstop. She was the first Southern Districts girl to be picked for the State U/16 side in almost 10 years. She has made lots of friends at Westfields and thinks Chris is a great coach because “...he picks up on what you do wrong and tries to fix it”. Tayla has her eye on a CHS position in 2009 after she scored some runs and was the number 1 pivot at the nationals in Perth in January!

  9. MEET MASON... • Mason is the youngest member of the 2008 NSW U/16 boys Softball team. He is in year 8 at Westfields Sports this year. Mason enjoyed the opportunity to train with Chris Brownlow and to have that extra time at school to strengthen his softball skills. NSW placed third in the U/16 nationals in Tasmania in January 2009.

  10. INTERESTED...In Joining the team in 2010 • If you could see yourself as part of our team in 2010, why don’t you apply and try-out? Chris works with students to build upon their natural talents and develop skills. You don’t have to be a superstar to start with! Focus, dedication and a positive attitude to school are absolutely essential! • We take applications from students for Year 7-12, 2010 • Just contact the school office for more information or an application form on 0296043333 or email the convenor if you have any questions about the program.
