  2. What are fingerprints? • Fingerprints are prints you have on your fingers. • No two fingerprints are alike.

  3. Types of Fingerprints….. • There are 3 main types of fingerprints. The loop, arch, and whorl. • 60% have loops • 35% have whorls • 5% have arches

  4. How They Solve Cases Using Fingerprints • Detectives use what’s called as CODIS. • CODIS stands for Combined DNA Index System. • They search the database for the match, and if the evidence points to the suspect, BAM! They solved the case.

  5. In The End… • Fingerprints are very crucial to police cases. • Plus, they are very awesome to look at.
