    1. New Academic Structure (3+3+4) NSS will be implemented in September 2009 After completing senior secondary education, students have to take the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE)

    4. X Subjects : Study 2 Xs or 3Xs Or may be replaced by courses in Applied Learning University entrance requirement 4 core subjects + 1 X Elective Subjects (X)(10% each)

    9. How many X subjects will be taken by students in our school? SS1 must study 3Xs SS2 & SS3 may study 2Xs or replace 1X by Applied Learning Applied Learning is only offered in SS2 & SS3

    10. Applied Learning courses(COC) Applied Learning has been piloted for five years Our school has joined the pilot scheme this school year To cater for the diverse learning needs of students with varied interests, aspirations and aptitudes

Extensive Reading Scheme Students need to read a large number of books in English, Chinese and all other subjects in Junior Secondary They are required to do short tasks and long book reports after reading -To prepare students for SBA in English & Chinese -Non-practical tasks in SBA of Science subjects -Independent historical enquiry in SBA of History

    21. Liberal Studies provides opportunities for students to explore issues relevant to the human condition enables students to make connections among different disciplines examine issues from a variety of perspectives

    24. To prepare for L.S. Formed an L.S team 8 teachers Attend courses 1 Collaboration period per cycle - prepare teaching materials

Not offering L.S. in Junior Secondary Implemented Integrated Humanities in Junior Secondary - A school-based curriculum - Combine History, Geography and EPA - Through this subject, students understand the interrelationship of knowledge - Given issues to explore students learn to think from different perspectives

    26. Joined the program P.A.T.H.S to Adulthood In F.1 and F.2 , next year extend to F.3 Discussion on issues concerning self-image healthy lifestyle self-management interpersonal relationships Provide students with the knowledge needed for Module 1 in L.S.

Project Learning Implement project learning in Junior Secondary Use 8 C-Day afternoons (Co-curricular Activity Day) F.1 issues on Humanities & Social Awareness F.2 issues on Science F.3 Language Project (English and Putonghua ) - Prepare students for IES in L.S. - At the same time, prepare them for SBA in Science and the Humanities subjects in NSS

    28. OLE (Other Learning Experience) will be recorded in Student Learning Profile Moral & Civic Education Run programs during form teacher periods, assembly, and sometimes lunchtime Community Service Through Community Service Society sell flag, visit to old peoples homes, Sister School Scheme

    29. Aesthetic experiences Music and Visual Art extends to Senior Secondary Use C-Day afternoons for drama performances, film shows, Lunchtime Concerts Physical Experience P.E. lessons, Sports Days, Swimming Galas, lunch time and afterschool inter-house and inter-class sports competitions

    30. Work-related experiences:- --Careers talk on C- Days and Assemblies --visit to working places of Alumni
