  2. Comparing Camera Components Keep in mind that ……………… JVC uses only high industrial standard components inside of its products ! What does this mean ? Is it just to make JVC more expensive ?? NO ! This guaranties you the same Video output over complete lifetime, because of less electrical drifting and longer life time of each used part. Also the designed circuits are using more parts, because of additional functions and better electrical performance. Install and forget ! This is JVC add on value !

Additional Functions and better Quality require additional Hardware ! • Since the JVC SLL TK-C9510 offers not only much better performance in low light • conditions, but also a lot of additional functions which can not be found at most • competitors, it requires of course more hardware. • Some of the additional features are : • Sync Input • Full duplex Remote • Scene file storage • White Spot compensation • Anti Fog Mode • Selectable Gamma • and much more functions which could not be found in most other vendor cameras like the Samsung ½” tested

  4. Comparison at 1000 Lux same conditions camera default settings Samsung SCB-4000 JVC TK-C9510E Even at “normal” light conditions you can recognize superior JVC technology in following points : 1. Color reproduction : JVC has clear colors showing image like it is in reality SCB-4000 had problems with color temperature. No way to avoid “reddish” using Samsung Auto White function. JVC might look “blue” at first sight, but this was the true visible color under this light conditions. 2. Details : SCB-4000 is showing less details, even it has “same” resolution of 600 TV lines

  5. Comparison at less then 0,1 Lux without any Gain in Color mode Samsung SCB-4000 JVC TK-C9510 Even illumination is less then 0,1 Lux, JVC TK-C9510 can be used in color mode without any gain ! You still can see smooth movement, colors and even details like indication on Luxmeter. Setting Samsung SCB-4000 into same mode ( color mode + AGC off + Sense up off ) gives you no picture at all. You slightly can guess location of Luxmeter. Instead you can see defect pixels on the CCD “very clear”. Every CCD has errors after production, because 100% perfect CCD are very expensive. JVC TK-C9510 also has defect pixels, but TK-C9510 canCOMPENSATE them ! Specially if cameras become older, defect pixels will raise and picture looks like “stars” in the night. JVC has possibility to Compensate ! This is special feature !

  6. Comparison AGC High, no SenseUp TK-C9510 AGC High DNR Low Samsung SCB-4000 AGC OFF DNR OFF Since TK-C9510 can not turn off DNR mode, it is set to minimum for this test. Both cameras working in B&W mode at 0.2 Lux. AGC High, no Sense Up As in tests before, JVC TK-C9510 has better performance in all points, which of course is result of much better sensitivity. This is the difference between Catalogue and Reality !

  7. Low Lux condition ( less 0,1 Lux ) using 8 x Sense Up SCB-4000 TK-C9510E This comparison only uses the Sense Up function, without AGC. Due to much better sensitivity of SLL Technology, the picture of TK-C9510 is much better in this mode. Of course the Sense Up function causes a “trail” effect on both camera pictures, because of light integration during object is moving. This effect becomes more visible the more Sense Up factor is used. This is why it is useless to use this function with high values for moving object. There is no application for Samsung 512 x Sense Up function. Even JVC max. Value of 128 x Sense Up is not useful for moving objects, so it is recommended to disable this function on any camera if moving objects have to be captured. For still image this function is perfect.

  8. Comparison single point light source Samsung SCB-4000 JVC TK-C9510 • The light in front of color bar was the only light source for this test. Both cameras using color mode with • Factory default settings ( TK-C9510 set to “General Mode” ) • As very clear visible, the picture of TK-C9510 is again better in all points. • Color temperature of SCB-4000 is always to “warm” in both Auto White modes. • Samsung has big problems on resolution chart and at edges like green to yellow on color bar. • General color reproduction is much more worse ( see knife, markers and color bar )

  10. 512 x Sense Up = 0,0002 Lux Sensitivity ! Samsung SCB-4000 using 512 times sense up at 0,1 Lux AGC OFF What is Sense Up ? Sense Up is a very useful function to observe a still- or very slow moving object like the Sky in a very dark night. Mainly this kind of “Photography” is used to make pictures from telescope and get good images from far away stars and Galaxy, because only very little light from them arrives at Earth. However, basically Sense Up is “just” collecting light on the CCD for a very long time and then read out the charge of CCD and transfer to DSP. ( This is just a very simple explanation of this function ! ) This technology is not very useful for Security applications, because it causes a huge “trace” effect in low light conditions with movement. ( JVC also has up to 128 x Sense Up ) ! BUT……… JVC does not need this function, because of SLL function as shown above in presentation.

  11. Final Conclusion • TK-C9510 has better color reproduction • TK-C9510 has better sensitivity ( specially in low light ) • TK-C9510 has a long life time due to high quality components • TK-C9510 has same picture quality after many years • TK-C9510 has a lot of additional useful unique features ( Sync, White Spot compensation, Anti Fog mode, Scene files, Area White Balance,.................. ) This are just some advantages of TK-C9510 Super Low Lux Technology
