  1. Multi-PDN and Multi-Aux Configuration in eHRPD

  2. Agenda • Config Nodal • Config Node • Message Flow and pcap

  3. Introduction • PDN connections setup: Main service connection(Main A10) is responsible for creating the default PDN connection. aux SoType = 59 is responsible for creating additional PDN connections. • If you configure an “Aux SoType = 59” on Landslide GUI, it’s not a real Aux connection, it just represents an addtionational PDN connection. Its corresponding APN indicates which PDN it connects to. • If you configure an “Aux SoType = 67” on Landslide GUI, it’s a real Aux Connection. Its corresponding APN indicates which PDN this Aux is related with. • If configuring total N PDN connections including main service connection and M real auxiliary service connection, you should set the aux number to N-1+M. • In this test case, I take 2 PDN, and 3 real auxiliary for example.

  4. Presupposition • In successor pages, we use main for short of main service connection, Aux for short of auxiliary service connection. • I just show the difference between Multi-PDN and Multi-Aux with normal eHRPD case. Other parts are configured the same with normal eHRPD case.

  6. Nodal Test Configuration

  7. Nodal Network Device

  8. Nodal Network Device - Cont The number of LMA Node is the same of number of PDN.

  9. Nodal RP-PPP

  10. Nodal RP-RP-PDN1 • We should assign N PDN on the first N connections. • The Item in “service instance APN Assignments” is associated with that in “Service Instance Setting”. That is: • Main -> P0 • Aux-1 -> P1 • Aux-2 -> P2 • Aux-3 -> P3 • Aux-4 -> P4
