  2. Initiative brought up from the support staff at “María Zambrano Secondary School”for the promotion of culture far from the strict and formal morning activities at school IES María Zambrano, Leganés (Madrid) Spain

  3. Participants All enrolled students at the junior secondary school (First Cycle) during 2012/2013 school year. Schools were limited to a maximum of 100 students. Before hand, students had to queue in order to obtain a place for this event. To do this they had to fill out an applicationform, which was then signed by the parents who also covered any expenses. Voluntary participation of teachers from different departments

  6. Mainpurposes To create a different space dedicated to the promotion of cultural awareness and human values. To encourage students to acquire knowledge with a more effective and easier approach to culture, from a more realistic perspective according to student’s age and their social development.

  7. Objectives GeneralProvide a different and original space using out of the ordinary activities. This will involve meetings, creative areas and a cultural approach to help students in their development with positive experiences inside the high school. Specific - Develop students’ imagination and creativity through training, sport and handmade activities. - Generalize global learning for students with special educational needs using different contexts, improving their integration. - Educate on specific aspects taken from the cross-curricular subjects by using games, sports and cultural references.
