  2. Purpose • Evaluate the impact of everyday lifestyle’s choices on global climate. • Identify how one can contribute to improve the environment.

  3. The Project • Students will determine their carbon footprints by completing a questionnaire about everyday lifestyle choices. • Develop a plan to reduce the negative impact (carbon footprint) one can have on the environment.

  4. Work • Students can work: • Individually • Partners • Report • Written report • Presentation • Includes visual support

  5. Written Report • It must include: • Cover • Purpose • Introduction • What is the “carbon footprint” • Why is it important to reduce the carbon footprint? • Individual/Group Carbon Footprint • Changes in Lifestyle you can make to reduce your Carbon Footprint • Annex • Questionnaire(s)

  6. Scoring Rubric Scale: 4 Above and Beyond 3 Complete and Correct • Incomplete 1 Incorrect Science 0 No answer • Domains • Research (4): Project has a complete report. The report includes cover, purpose, introduction, data table (carbon footprint), changes in lifestyle and questionnaire(s). • Accuracy (4): Students demonstrate knowledge about carbon footprint and explain ways to reduce it. Creativity (4): Presentation is unique, well designedand attractive. Grammar (4): Correct spelling and punctuation is used in the report. Presentation (4): All members participate during the presentation and demonstrate knowledge about carbon footprint, its impact on the environment and how to reduce it. TOTAL 20points
