At that time, in 1970- 1976, a lot of equipment for the laminate production was imported from Germany (18 plants) and from Finland (6 plants). • The main goal of Institute is providing industry with scientific-technical assistance and development of supporting technical documentation. • New products and technologies developed in our Institute have been successfully applied at different industrial enterprises and we have established good business relations with them.( see slide 5 below).

  4. List of developments Laboratories PROJECTDESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION BUREAU SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH CENTER FOR POLYMERS AND ECOLOGICAL PROBLEMS • have successfully completed several major projects for modernization of resin-bonded wood chipboard plants, which allowed to increase plants production from 60,000 cubic meter a year up to 90-105,000 cubic meter • have developed a broad line of carbomide-formaldehyde resins with minimal content of free formaldehyde - these products found extensive application in resin bonded wood chipboard industry.

  5. List of developments Laboratories CHEMICAL SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH LABORATORY CHEMICAL LABORATORY OF FILM AND LACQUER COATINGS • have developed melamine-formaldehyde impregnating resins with different melamine content: from 450 to 30 kg. melamine per ton with 56-58 % concentration - for laminate production • have developed water soluble acid cure lacquers to be used in film decorating process in furniture production industry.
