  3. To have a sound mental, physical, and spiritual connection, association or involvement with another individual.

  4. WHAT IS SAFE DATING? SAFE DATING is being in a positive relationship. One in which COMMUNICATION & TRUST ARE KEY.

  5. DATING is the process by which a couple gets to know one another.

  6. being HARMED, INJURED, CONTROLLED, VERBALLY, EMOTIONALLY, PSYCHOLOGICALLY, AND/OR PHYSICALLY PRESSURED INTO ANY KIND OF SEXUAL ACTIVITY

  7. ARE NOT PART OF THE “GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER PROCESS”!!!

  8. KNOW YOUR LIMITS (i.e. sexual) & MAKE SURE YOU PARTNER KNOWS THEM TOO

  9. The TIME you spend together should make you HAPPY, NOT SAD, emotionally drained or hurt.

  10. STOPABUSE BEFORE IT HAPPENS! KNOW THE SIGNS OF THE UNFORGIVING CYCLE

  11. CYCLE OF ABUSE: INITIAL STAGES: tensionbuilding, incident(abuse/ fight), reconciliation (making-up), calm(incident is “forgotten” overlooked)

  12. EVENTUALLY THERE IS NO RECONCILIATION OR CALM, BUT SIMPLY… 1. A TENSION BUILDING STAGE & 2. INCIDENT STAGE

  14. IF THE PERSON YOU ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH

  15. DOESN’T RESPECT YOU

  16. HE/SHE DOESN’T DESERVE YOU

  17. DON’T THINK YOU NEED HIM/HER TO SURVIVE

  18. NEVER ISOLATE YOUR SELF

  19. YOU ARE NOT ALONE • YOU DESERVE BETTER
