  2. Instructional Focus/CWTs • Evidence of analytical reading and academic writing • CWTs will look for • Checking-for-understanding • Corrective feedback • Questioning techniques • Feedback to teachers based on the above

  3. Instructional Rounds • 10 full-day sessions to be conducted on… • 8/22 (department chairs), 9/12, 9/19, 10/10, 10/24, 1/16 (department chairs), 1/30, 2/13, 2/20, 3/6 • Consistent with instructional focus

  4. Professional Development • PD Team should represent every department • 8/20, 9/24, 10/15, 3/11, 4/15 • 28 total sessions on Monday mornings • 3 program (AP, IB, MYP, Honors, AVID, EL, Academies), cross-curricular collaboration, new teacher support • 9/24, 12/3, and 3/4 • 6 30-45 minute AVU sessions (facilitated by teachers) • 8/27, 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 1/28, and 3/4 • Topics will align with instructional focus and support our academic “program”

  5. AVU • Six 30-45 minute sessions to be held during Professional Development • 8/27, 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 1/28, and ¾ • Facilitated by teachers • Topics will align with instructional focus and support our academic “program”

  6. Professional Development Center • H-018 will serve as PDC, EL counselor office (Veronica Ramirez), and my office • Leadership Team meetings • Department chair meetings • PD Team meetings • ELAC Meetings • Instructional Rounds • After-school AVU sessions as needed • General meetings as available

  7. Miscellaneous • Parent/Student Portal Accounts • Parent contact • Syllabus • Email to me by Friday, August 10 • Substitutes • Sub folders (submit to Mary Shull) • Emergency lesson plans • Overall promptness
