NRCC / FISC Det History • Apr 1968 Established as three person liaison office in downtown Singapore • 1970 Became Navy Purchasing office (under NSD Subic Bay) • 1991-92 Name changed to NRCC Singapore and picked up regional contracting work when NSD Subic Bay shut down. • 1992 Relocated from downtown to Sembawang • 1992-03 Established Dets in Manila, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Sydney • 2003 COMPACFLT N4 to CLWP/CTF 73 realignment 8 DEC 03 • 2006 31Jan OPCON transfer from CLWP/CTF 73 to FISC Yokosuka, Japan

FISC Detachment Singapore • Lessons Learned • What You Need to Know • Engage Det Singapore early to plan & execute any support required • Keep Communications flowing with all concerned • Contact Det Singapore ASAP on last-minute schedule changes or cancellations • Avoid last minute change of FFV/Fuel orders - this is costly • Right Size FP requirement due to high cost in theater • Monitor CHT/Gray Water discharge due to high disposal costs • Watch for overtime charges (weekends, Holidays, <0800 >1600) • Pay invoices before sailing • Notify Det Singapore ASAP for questionable or unpaid invoices • Contact your medical rep for ISO Health Care Ready.
