Thursday, 11/17: Reality Town Info • Choose 1 occupation out of the 3 you printed out from Drive of Your Life • Pass out Transaction Registers • Anyone who does NOT have an occupation: Get a handout from ME…NOW!!!!!!!! Take notes so that you can do this as HW HW: If you don’t finish your Reality Town Checklist & Transaction Register, it must be done as HW and BROUGHT BACK TOMORROW!

  2. Reality Town Checklist 7. Divide your Gross (Yearly) Salary by 12 to get your Monthly Salary. Enter your Monthly Salary (pre-tax). 8. Multiply your Monthly Salary by 20%(0.20) to get the Income Tax paid. 1. Multiply your Net Salary (line 9) by 10% (0.10) to get the amount you will transfer to Savings. Write this in the Bank (line 1). 6. Enter your Occupation based on your GPA & Minimum yrs. Of required education 9. Subtract your Income Tax (line 8) from your Monthly Salary (line 7) to get your Net Salary.

Savings Transferred Transaction Register Line 1: In the Transaction Column, write “Initial Deposit.” In the Deposit column, write in your Net Salary from the Reality Town Checklist. This should also be your beginning account balance. Line 2: In the Transaction Column, write “Savings Transferred.” In the Withdraw column, write in your number from the Bank (line 1) from the Reality Town Checklist.
