When the war is over it has been estimated to have cost the United States over three trillion dollars.

Disbanding the Iraqi Military
Disbanding the military was not part of president Bush's original plan.
Eventually the American Army began to create a new Iraqi military.
The military was made into three divisions.
The army was pretty much a failure.
The American officials decided to dissolve the army all together.
There were 132,000 troops in Iraq before the surge.
Then 16,000 troops were sent making the number of troops 148,000.
That is a 12 percent increase in numbers.
Troops are supposed to be withdrawn by the year 2010.
How fast withdrawal will happen is still unknown.
