  1. “king tut’s mysterious death Before we start -define forensic science, using the wikipedia handout • Answer, can modern forensics solve a mystery over 3000 years old? -using the sticky notes, handed out, write down one fact per note that you know aboutegypt. -Check out the categories on the lockers for suggestions.

During the story • Predict what the title, “king tut’s mysterious death”, could possibly be about. • Read the first paragraph and ask yourself, does the information in this paragraph confirm your predictions? If not what changes will you make to them? -follow along in the student book as we listen to the cd.

  3. Go through the first page again, and answer the questions4. Do you think the first photo and caption is an effective way to begin the photo essay?5. Why might the bottom photos have been place side by side, and circular backgrounds? Go through the second page again, and answer the questions 6. Why is the photo with the round frame placed where it is? 7. What is the photo caption of the painting trying to add to the photo essay? 8. Does the photo essay make any conclusions about king tut’s death?

  4. After you have answered the questions • In your opinion, does this photo essay tell a story effectively? What would you have done differently?
