Learning Objectives Reinvent Your District: Becoming More with Less in this Transitional Period in education At the end of this program, participants will be able to: Analyze identifiable approaches to discovering solutions of this transitional period. Evaluate and examine a design approach that is constantly being reinvented. Understand how effective design can respond and adapt to multiple learning and teaching styles. Investigate how our focus on process and systems in view of products and manufacturers resulted in our integration of un-tethered technology into learning environments allowing for increased flexibility..

Learning Objectives Security in an Educational Environment At the end of this program, participants will be able to: Understand which kinds of security threats are the greatest priority in an educational environment. Learn what kinds of security solutions might be most applicable to the threats which might face an educational environment. Analyze which kinds of threats should be prioritized in a particular kind of environment, with reference to what kinds of solutions would be necessary to address them. Learn how the University of Kentucky negotiated these considerations, in view of cost and intrusiveness of potential solutions on campus activity.

Learning Objectives A Statewide Program of Efficient School Design and the Mechanisms and Funding that Drive it At the end of this program, participants will be able to: Review how the Kentucky Department of Education manages the statewide PK-12 public school districts' building program. Review how funding for school construction works in Kentucky. Review the value of District Facilities Plans in managing districts' goals, their funding, and - ultimately - their realization. Review anticipated future challenges for Kentucky schools.

Learning Objectives New Early Learning Centers in Kentucky School Districts At the end of this program, participants will be able to: Understand the regulations / requirements that are driving construction of new early learning centers, making them cost-effective solutions for districts. Learn the space and functional requirements specific to early learning curricula and the implications for facility planning. Get an introduction to a series of case study projects in order to understand the variety of conditions these projects address and how the facilities develop accordingly. Hear specific opportunities available and challenges faced in developing this relatively recent facility model within Kentucky's public school districts.
