  12. Importance to management • Find ways to capitalize on knowledge workers, keep them in the organization and enhance their abilities. • Knowledge worker – someone whose mind is a critical asset to employers.

  13. Globalization • A process whereby national or regional economies and cultures have become integrated • Through new global communication technologies, foreign direct investment, international trade, migration, new forms of transportation, and the flow of money.

  14. Interdependence • A relation where each member mutually relies on the other. • Globalization causes interdependence between country economies.
