  2. Meeting the Accreditation Standards • Standard IIB: the institution recruits and admits diverse students who are able to benefit from its programs, consistent with its mission. Student support services address the identified needs of students and enhance a supportive learning environment. The entire student pathway through the institutional experience is characterized by a concern for student access, progress, learning, and success. The institution systematically assesses student support services using student learning outcomes, faculty and staff input, and other appropriate measures in order to improve the effectiveness of these services.

  3. Meeting the Matriculation Standards • Matriculation is a process that enhances student access to the California community colleges and promotes and sustains the efforts of credit students to be successful in their educational endeavors. The goals of matriculation are to ensure that all students complete their college courses, persist to the next academic term, and achieve their educational objectives through the assistance of the student-direct components of the matriculation processes: admissions, orientation, assessment , counseling, and student follow up.
