  2. Development of the LoTi Questionnaire The LoTi Questionnaire was developed to measure the level of technology implementation of educational practitioners. This fifty item questionnaire assesses one’s Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi), Current Instructional Practices (CIP), and Personal Computer Use (PCU). The eight levels of the LoTi assessment are based on the LoTi Framework. (Moersch 1995-1999; Middleton, 1999; Deacon, 1999; Schechter, 2000; Moersch, 2001; Maxwell, 2002 and Woodbridge, 2003)

  3. Development of the LoTi Questionnaire In 2005, Dr. Jill Stoltzfus of Temple University conducted an extensive validation study of LoTi. The results of the study are as follows: • Each domain of the survey (LoTi Levels, CIP, and PCU) achieved content validity • Personal Computer Use (PCU) and Current Instructional Practices (CIP) emerged as statistically reliable and are therefore, empirically valid • Levels of Technology Implementation (LoTi) Level 0 (Non-use) emerged as statistically reliable and is therefore, empirically valid

  5. Individual LoTi Results Individuals completing the LoTi survey receive results immediately. The data collected generates a report that includes a graph along with written text. Assess

  6. Individual LoTi Results The written text provides details related to the information represented in the graph. The results include access to explanations about priority, professional development and web links. Assess

  7. Individual LoTi Results The professional development link provides the individual with recommended professional learning opportunities. Assess

  8. Individual LoTi Results The web links provide the individual with LoTi-Aligned web sites that have the potential to positively impact instruction in the classroom. Assess

  9. LoTi Technology Use Profile Campus Once the LoTi data collection period ends, campus administrators are provided a summary of their school’s results covering the three key areas: Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi), Personal Computer Use (PCU), and Current Instructional Practices (CIP). Additionally, each report contains the following: • Publishing date and name of school building • Number of participants who completed the LoTi Survey • An overview of the eight stages that make up the LoTi Framework • A bar graph for each of the three indicators • A numeric breakdown of staff members at each LoTi level • Goal statements for the school based on findings from the LoTi data • Sample recommendations consistent with the goal statements and findings from the LoTi data Assess View full campus report

  12. LoTi Technology Use Profile District Once the LoTi data collection period ends, district level administrators have access to graphs and tables reporting the entire district’s results covering the three key areas: Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi), Personal Computer Use (PCU), and Current Instructional Practices (CIP). Additionally, the district report contains the following: • Publication date and name of the school district • Number of participants who completed the LoTi Survey • A thorough explanation of DETAILS for the 21st Century, including prioritized recommendations for planning, implementation and improvement of instruction Assess View district report
