Societal Topics-Weeks 7 & 8 • EdX is a wonderful way for someone who can’t afford to go to school due to lack of money nor time. • IP Addressing is basically a great way to share information with everyone in a network, causing information to be shared to be an easy thing. • Internet regulation is basically the government trying to regulate the internet. Primarily, you use the internet to comminicate with other computers and share information and files, and by regulating the internet, you basically are applying censorship for the internet. • Internet Governance: the development of rules for the internet, very necessary for keeping the internet safe.

  3. Topics Weeks 9 & 10 • Windows 8 is an updated version of Windows, and thus far, it is more improved, and looks to be a better version of the operating system. • Ipc6 is basically an updating version of the internet protocol. • Routing Autonomous System is the amount of routers that are connecting to the internet, a number that still continues to climb at this very moment. • Net Neutrality is basically how the internet is connected to other networks

  4. Topics Weeks 11-13 • Privacy is important because we should be able to look at whatever we want without the imput of the government, or them having a problem with it. • BCP is the protocol in which you make big decesions for the internet. • Spam is unecesary messages, sometimes known as pop ups, when you’re on the internet. • MOOC is a massive type of online course that is available to anyone with a computer and internet. • Security is important because otherwise, you would have to worrty about various things coming to destroy your computer. • Standardization is the process of developing records.
