  4. Early Life Bill Watterson was born July, 5, 1958 in Washington D.C. He grew up in Ohio and he drew his first comic at age 8. He spent a lot of time alone drawing comics in his room. I think he is similar to Calvin. Bill loved Peanuts comics. He went to law school but became a cartoonist. He went to Ohio’s Kenyon College.

  5. Career Bill Watterson drew Calvin & Hobbes about a mischief making boy & his tiger. It was first published November, 18, 1985. It was last published December, 31, 1995. He won 2 Reuben awards for cartoonist of the year in 1986 & 1988.

  6. Calvin and Hobbes • He got the idea for Calvin from a pastor named Calvin. Hobbes was a very smart person that Bill knew.

  7. Calvin and Hobbes • I think Calvin and Hobbes is funny. I think bill wants to make people laugh.

  8. Secretive • Bill Watterson is very secretive. Bill doesn’t like interviews. Bill used to sneak autographed copies of Calvin & Hobbes into bookstores.He stopped when he found people were selling them. Bill keeps his address a secret.
