Challenges • Many students aren’t college ready • Many students have unrealistic expectations • Time to degree is too long • Students often transfer or leave to work without obtaining degree/credential • Not enough high school graduates in the pipeline • Need to capture private colleges and proprietary school graduates • Diminishing financial aid

Proven Strategies • Improving College Readiness • Shortening Time to Degree • Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment • Seamless Articulation (K12 to CJC to IHL) • Credit for Experience (portfolio assessment, credit by exam) • Streamlined Associate Degrees (~ 60 credit hours) • Don’t Let Students Leave Empty-Handed • Imbedded, stackable credentials • Auto-population of earned credentials • Automatic Graduation (no application, no fees) • Reverse Transfer
