  4. harivarAsanam vishwamOhanam haridhadIshvaram AradhyapAdukam | arivimardanam nithyanartanam hariharAtmajam dEvamAshrayE || 1 The Lord who is the repository of Hari’s boons; Lord who enchants the universe with his beauty; Lord who is the essence of Hari’s grace; Lord whose holy feet is worthy of the highest worship; Lord who kills enemies of good thought (Lord who destroys the mental trends and forces that negatively affect his devotees) Lord who eternally dances the cosmic dance; In that very Lord, who is the embodiment of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, I take my refuge.

  5. sharanakIrtanam shaktamAnasam bharaNalOlupam nartanAlasam | arunabhAsuram bhUtanAyakam hariharAtmajam dEvamAshrayE || 2 The Lord who is worshipped through the song of refuge; Lord who is in the mind of teachers (preceptors); Lord who rules the cosmos; Lord who loves to dance; Lord who shines like the rising sun; Lord who presides over the elements; In that very Lord, who is the embodiment of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, I take my refuge.

  6. kaLamrudusmitam sundarAnanam kaLabhakOmaLam gAtramOhanam | kaLabhakesarI vAjivAhanam hariharAtmajam dEvamAshrayE || 7 The Lord who bears a soft and graceful smile; Lord with a beautiful countenance; Lord whose beautiful body is exquisitely decked with sandal -wood paste; Lord who rides on a tiger and also on his horse mount; In that very Lord, who is the embodiment of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, I take my refuge.

  7. shritajanapriyam cintitapradam shrutivibhUshaNam sAdhujeevanam | shrutimanOharam gItalAlasam hariharAtmajam dEvamAshrayE || 8 The Lord who is dear to all devotees; Lord who fulfills (our) desires; Lord who is extolled by the Vedas; Lord who sustains ascetics and aspirants; Lord who is the delightful essence of the Vedas; Lord who enjoys divine hymns (and music); In that very Lord, who is the embodiment of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, I take my refuge.
