  2. Lambaste • attack, usually with words, criticize (someone or something) harshly (Verb) • He regularly lambastes the labor party in letters to local newspapers, offending them very harshly, always making them second guess themselves.

  3. Impasse • N - A situation in which no progress is possible, esp. because of disagreement; a deadlock (Noun) • Such an agreement should remain a goal, but is not essential for ending the current impasse.

  4. Jargon • Slang (Noun)Here's my ( not too serious ) guide to internet jargon, it is a better way of understanding for, also most others while on the computer.

  5. Deter • prevent, block (verb)Some students report that discussions seem to be at an inappropriate level, thereby deterring them from participating, they feel that this make’s it difficult to learn.

  6. Tenuous • Weak, Thin (Adjective)Tenuous grasp of where food comes from, for example the belief that ' chips come from London ' , the stuff that others make up is entertaining.

  7. Vigorous • Energetic, Powerful (Adjective) • Vigorous climber that grows quickly, with stems that will easily cover a wall up to 20 feet by twelve feet, this is no match for them.

  8. Amity • Friendship (Noun)He mentions in his will that he had lived almost 43 years in perfect amity with his wife, they never had any disagreements, nor did they have any fights.

  9. Gravitas • High seriousness (Noun)She had the controlled delivery of a singer, a light airiness combined with a certain gravitas, something about her just made it sound even better.

  10. Emphatic • Assertive, Confident (Adjective)Emphatic win pushed wolves back into second place in the first division, this victory has helped them stand out, especially in the light of the sports source.

  11. Vehement • Showing strong feeling, forceful, passionate, or intense (Adjective)Vehement denial of any search or signal, there is no doubt that no message has been received, maybe Tiana is just taking her time to reply.

  12. Preeminent • Superior, Outstanding, Distinguished, Above the rest. (Adjective)Of special importance is our celebration of Christmas ,a day that has become preeminent on our yearly calendars, a holiday that u can never forget.

  13. Resurgence • Rebirth (Noun)In particular, the health branch , which was in danger of collapsing two years ago - is now resurgent
