Events in last 2 weeks • Some jobs on GP farms slowed due to dCache trouble yesterday • Two nodes with floating point exception on Minos code, under hardware service • New CDF head node and concatenators deployed, 40 new WN available • FBSNG scheduling glitch on 5/13, fixed. • Collecting parts for new SAN-based concatenator setup for D0 Farms • Down nodes on CDF farm: 2 out of 97 FBSNG, 8 out of 117 condor/CAF • Down nodes on D0 farm— 7 out of 446 nodes • Down nodes GP farm—2 out of 150 Farms User Meeting May 25, 2005--Steven Timm

Downtimes • GP Farms—June 15, reconfiguration of /local/ups directory on worker nodes • GP Farms—July 20, transition to new Linux based server (tentative). • D0 Farms—moving 3 racks of worker nodes to GCC, to be scheduled • D0 Farms—June 7, changing autofs options and testing GCC power-down script • CDF Farms—June 8, system work and testing GCC power down script • Power outages in GCC in July (to be scheduled) will affect CDF and D0 farms Farms User Meeting May 25, 2005--Steven Timm

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS • All questions or requests for the farms should be routed through helpdesk@fnal.gov • Expect delivery of Linux GP Farms head node June 23, transition plan to follow • All daemons running on fnsfo (mysql, lmgrd) will have to be moved to linux • Expect that the contents of dfarm will be wiped in this transition.
