  1. Do Now • Name the two planes • What is another name for line l • Name the intersection of the two planes • Name a pair of opposite rays • Find m∠1 • Find y • Find m∠2 • Find x

  2. Where We Have Been/Going • We have learned and reviewed: • Points, lines, planes, segments, rays, etc… • Segments with Midpoints and Distances • Bisectors of Segments and Angles • Angles and Angle Relationships • Today Continue with Angle Relationships • Next Class Geometry Check-In Assessment #1 

  3. Angle Pair Relationships • Name two adjacent angles. • Two acute vertical angles. • Two supplementary adjacent angles. • The measure of ∠LTE. • The measure of ∠ETS. • The measure of ∠ RTS.

  4. Angle Pair Relationships • Given one angle measure, find the other three. • Measure of ∠1 is 38° • Measure of ∠3 is 84° • Measure of ∠2 is 136° 1 4 2 3 In Geometry it NEVER matters what the picture looks like. Unless it is labeled, you go with what you are told!

  5. Interpreting a Diagram • What we can conclude • Points A, B and C are collinear. • Line AC, ray BD and ray BE intersect at point B • Angle DBE and angle EBC are adjacent • Point E lies on the interior of angle DBC • Angle ABC is a straight angle D E A C B • What we can NOT conclude • Segment AB ≅ Segment BC • Angle DBE ≅ angle EBC • Angle ABD is a right angle • *This information MUST be indicated* • How?

  6. Finish Angle Relationships Practice 5Minutes • We will then go over it together • During that time you are doing two things: • Correcting your own paper • Stopping me when and if you have any questions

  7. Do Now • Decide if the following are always, sometimes, or never true. • If two angles are a linear pair then they are adjacent. • If two angles are supplementary, then one angle is acute and one angle is obtuse. • Ray XS bisects ∠RXT. The measure of ∠RXS is 15°. Draw this and find the measure of all 3 angles. 4.

  8. Geometry Check-In #1 – The Basics • Must be completed in pencil • Show all work in an organized manner • Leave nothing blank – ever • Do your best – this is all I will ever ask of you! • When Finished • Bring it to me silently please • Gather your things and head to the LC or to your next workshop!
