Girl Scout Achievement AwardApplication Requirements: • Must have earned the Girl Scout Gold Award and be a high school junior or senior at time of application • Must be actively involved in a religious institution and must have received the appropriate religious emblem at the Cadette or Senior Scout level

  3. Girl Scout Achievement Award Application Requirements: • Must submit at least one letter of recommendation with application from an individual representing one of the following: your religious institution, school, community, or scout troop • Submit by April 1, 2011, a 500 word essay describing your Gold Award project, explain why you chose the project and how it made an impact on you and your community

Girl Scout Achievement AwardSelection Process: • The completed application and your essay must be presented to your local American Legion Auxiliary Unit President on or before April 1, 2011 • A screening committee will judge applications and essays. The decision of the judges shall be final. The winner will be notified in June 2011.

Girl Scout Achievement AwardConditions of the Scholarship: • The scholarship recipient will be eligible to receive her scholarship after graduation from high school and must utilize the award within one year of graduation or of award if she has already graduated. • The scholarship must be used to attend a school which is state accredited and above the high school level.

  6. Girl Scout Achievement AwardConditions of the Scholarship: • The ALA Department of Maryland will make disbursement directly to the state accredited school after the student provides verification of registration for full or part-time status for the term in which the funds will be used.
