  • Build 345/138 kV station and loop PH Robinson to Oasis 345 kV line into this station
  • Loop existing Hastings to Alvin 138 kV line into new station
    • Rebuild this line from new station to Hastings
  • Rebuild Hastings to Friendswood 138 kV line
  • Cost $19.4 M (2006 dollars)

Projects Needed for Reliability

  • Generation re-dispatch will not be able to relieve post-contingency loading during peak load by 2007
  • Occurs with single and multiple line outages

Options Considered
  • TNMP considered eight options
  • ERCOT studied the two least expensive of TNMP’s eight options in depth
  • Recommended Project is the least expensive option considering the long term (2015) needs of the area

  • The Stakeholder review period for this project was held in August 2006
  • There were no dissenting comments on this package of projects and TNMP resolved all questions
