  2. The SME sector in Senegal: • SME sector’s contribution to national value creation1: • 33% of the national GDP • 42% of total employment • 2003: 85,000 registered SMEs • 2010: 258,000 SMEs • 1 Ministry of Trade, Enterprises and Informal Sector 90% of all enterprises in Senegal are SMEs!
